eBay Store Templates & Listing Templates

Since 1995 when the first broken laser pointer was sold on a site known as ‘AuctionWeb’ operated by Pierre Omidyer, the world of commerce shifted into the hands of the everyday Joe, and gave way to a possibility for anyone to operate their own ‘home based’ business through a platform that brought buyers and sellers together. Today, we know AuctionWeb as eBay.

OVERHEADS AND INVENTORY HAVE BECOME A THING OF THE PAST, AND AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ANYONE TO BUILD AN ONLINE STORE BECAME POSSIBLE

Thanks to eBay, there are a growing number of small business ‘online sellers’ that have been able to make their break from the 9-5 work-life and build their own online dream through operating an online eBay store.

As time has progressed, now 22 years since it’s conception as AuctionWeb, eBay is one of the largest online platforms next to Amazon that is home to individual store owners.

One thing eBay has never done however, is provide an elegant or beautiful design for their sellers listings and storefront!

eBuilt Website Solutions had it’s own history with eBay and has been behind a number of eBay stores and sellers. Providing the foundation for our online success, we outgrew our eBay Store and evolved into a website, company and eventually became a multi-faceted corporation that serviced a vast array of online businesses and platforms.

Still running multiple eBay stores ourselves to this day, we have an understanding of what is and isn’t possible when it comes to the building of a workable eBay Store Template and matching Listing Template that expresses the feel and theme of your business.

We can supply a static template that you can copy paste into your own listings, OR our preferred method is to design a custom template that sits inside your Inkfrog account and you are able to apply it to your listings that you manage and list from this amazing eBay selling Platform.

FAQs

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO USE THE TEMPLATES?

Best practice is to use a selling tool like Auctiva or InkFrog. (Our preference from experience is InkFrog, it’s what we use.) Then, we are able to build a customised template that you can place inside your selling account and when you list your items, you can select the template to apply to your listing, and it will automatically put all your information in a themed layout that matches your Brand.

ARE THESE COMPLIANT TO THE ACTIVE CONTENT POLICY?

Every now and again, eBay has to upgrade their system as the technology changes and that modifies the way listings appear and also changes the coding and style behind the template used. We have gone from using HTML, Java, CSS and other variances over the years, and the latest is the ‘Active Content Policy‘. As we are sellers ourselves, we ensure that the templates work, and are using the same coding that ours are built with.
